Strawberry Fields Gomphrena

The Gomphrena Strawberry Fields, ‘Gomphrena haageana’, will delight you with it’s vivid, striking red flower clusters. It is a native of Texas and Mexico so they are recommended for areas with hot and humid summers. Strawberry fields has 3/4 inch wide, round, papery. lover-like flower heads. They bloom from summer into early fall. They do not require any special care and are fairly drought tolerant. Plant in the spring after the last average frost date. They make excellent cut and dried flowers.

Early Girl Tomato

The Tomato Early Girl, ‘Lycopersicon lycopersicum’, is a very early slicing variety that produces tasty fruit throughout the summer. There’s no faster, better-tasting tomato than Early Girl. The Cresthaven Peach tree produces a very firm, highly colored red fruit. The Cresthaven peach is yellow fleshed and shows considerable red around the pit. This tree is very productive and is also a freestone. The clear, firm flesh is resistant to browning and the skin is smooth but tough.

Austrian Pine

The Austrian Pine, Pinus nigra, is a densely branched tree producing long dark needles. This evergreen conifer tree thrives in urban locations as well as in windbreaks in more rural settings. The spreading branches of a young tree form a pyramidal outline, but at maturity, it sometimes achieves a picturesque flat topped head. Also good for thick screens or windbreaks. When placed in a good site it should reach 5 ft. in height in 6-7 years starting with a 2 year old seedling.
